Dr. Timothy W. Surber | Oral Surgeon
Dr. Timothy W. Surber is a graduate of Valparaiso High School and Wabash College. Dr. Surber earned his dental degree at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2013. Thereafter, he completed his specialty training in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Surber’s work has been recognized and awarded by the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Surber is Board-certified and maintains active Diplomate status in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also involved in professional organizations such as, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, ADA, and many local study groups. Additionally, Dr. Surber is actively philanthropic. In 2012, he traveled to Lima, Peru as part of a multi-disciplinary surgical mission team. Locally, Dr. Surber donates his time and skills on call at multiple local hospitals for facial trauma and other patients in need of the specialty.
Dr. Surber resides in his hometown of Valparaiso, Indiana. His interests include traveling, boating, sport fishing, and physical fitness.
Dr. Michael Drone | Prosthodontist
A Prosthodontist Is A Dental Specialist With Three Years Of Specialized Training In Esthetic/Cosmetic Dentistry, Restorative/Reconstructive Dentistry, Removable Prosthodontics, And Implant Dentistry At A Credited Medical School Or Dental School.
Prosthodontics requires 3–4 additional years of specialized training at an accredited dental school or medical school after graduation from dental school. Michael Drone, DDS has two post-graduate dental specialty degrees, prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthetics, from Indiana University School of Dentistry and Medicine. As a prosthodontist, Michael Drone, DDS practices a full scope of prosthodontic procedures with expertise ranging from dental implants, cosmetic/aesthetic dentistry and dentures, to restorative dentistry. Since 2007, Michael Drone, DDS has been actively involved in providing his knowledge and expertise to The Northwest Indiana Dental Study Clubs, dentists, dental specialists and physicians.
Our staff is CPR certified, x-ray certified and our dental assistants are also expanded duties certified. Dentistry is ever-changing and our staff attends continuing education courses to learn about the safest and newest dental techniques and technologies used to provide the best dental care for our patients
Dr. Stephen J. Fairchild | Oral Surgeon
Dr. Stephen J. Fairchild graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry Summa Cum Laude in 1980. He served his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at the Indiana University Medical Center and associated hospitals. Dr. Fairchild has served Northwest Indiana since 1985 before joining with Dr. Stevenson in 2009.
He is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and holds Diplomate status in that organization. He holds fellowship status in the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Fairchild also holds memberships in many other professional organizations.
He and wife, Michelle, reside in Crown Point and have two daughters, Lauren and Amy. Dr. Fairchild’s hobbies include fishing, boating, and woodworking.
Dr. Howard E. Stevenson | Oral Surgeon
Dr. Howard E. Stevenson has practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery in Northwest Indiana since 1986. A graduate of Indiana University, Dr. Stevenson earned his dental degree at Indiana University School of Dentistry. He completed his internship and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Indiana University Medical Center.
Dr. Stevenson serves the community through staff appointments at Porter hospital and St. Anthony Medical Center. He is actively involved in national dental organizations, including the American Dental Association and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Stevenson lives in Crown Point with his wife Maureen and two children, Mallory and Alex. He enjoys bicycling, tennis, skiing and racquetball.
